State-level SHG exhibition from November 19
DIMAPUR — The State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) has informed that the state-level SHG exhibition-cum-sale under the DAY-NULM and DJAY-S pilot initiative is scheduled to be organised from November 19 to the 21st at the Old NST parking area, Kohima, from 9:30 am onwards. According to a DIPR report, the event will bring together Self-Help Groups (SHGs) with a particular focus on women-led enterprise, aiming to promote SHG entrepreneurship, enhance market exposure, and support enterprise development and sustainable livelihoods.
Coordination meeting held for Rev. Graham's Kohima visit
DIMAPUR — In view of the upcoming Rev. Franklin Graham reception on November 30 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, the organising committee members called upon office bearers of the Dimapur and Chümoukedima Pastors' Union and held a joint coordination meeting at Niathu Resort, on Monday. The organising committee members appealed to all believers and church leaders, irrespective of denominations, to pray and extend their cooperation, as they look forward to having “another visitation of God through this historic event,” an update stated.
Traffic restrictions on Doyang Bridge
DIMAPUR — The Deputy Commissioner of Wokha, Vineet Kumar, has issued an order on Monday to ensure public safety during the Doyang Bridge repair works on the Wokha-Merapani road. As per the order, there will be complete restriction on movement of heavy commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, tipper trucks/dumpers, and tankers. Movement of medium commercial vehicles such as mini trucks, buses, excavators, have also been restricted. Light motor vehicles (not exceeding pickup trucks) such as Mahindra Bolero Pik-Up, Tata Yodha and Isuzu D-MAX, are permitted to ply.

NPF, Patton condole Dr. Kath’s demise
DIMAPUR — The Naga People's Front (NPF) has condoled the demise of Dr. Khasü Kath, former minister and former general secretary (administration) of the party, who passed away on Monday at Olive Christian Hospital and Research Centre, Dimapur. In a condolence message, the NPF stated that Dr. Kath, a senior politician and staunch regionalist, contributed his best to the growth of the NPF party during his active years in politics. In a separate condolence message, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton said that Dr. Kath’s long years of service and dedication left a clear and lasting impact on the people of Nagaland. He noted that many had looked to Dr. Kath for guidance, and his commitment to public welfare earned him respect across communities.
Police recover unidentified body
DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police on November 15 recovered one unknown male body with tribal appearance, aged around 35-40 years, near the railway track area towards RxR Rangapahar crossing. A police report stated the duty party conducted an inquest and suspected the death was due to a train accident. The body was taken to the District Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was fair in complexion and wore a black-white checked shirt, black pants, and green sneakers. Tseminyu DPDB meeting on November 20
DIMAPUR — The monthly Tseminyu District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting month of November will be held on November 20 at DC’s conference hall, Tseminyu. District Planning Officer & Members Secretary of DPDB Tseminyu, Meyikokba Jamir, informed all the concerned members to attend the meeting positively, a DIPR report stated.
Mass social work held in Peren district
DIMAPUR — In compliance with the office memorandum issued by the Home Department, a district-level mass social work was carried out across Peren district on Monday, commencing from 7 am. According to an official bulletin, the initiative was undertaken as part of the district’s preparations for the forthcoming festive season. Government departments, urban local bodies, public institutions and general public actively took part in the cleanliness drive, demonstrating collective responsibility and community cooperation in maintaining a clean and healthy environment, it stated.
