Beautiful Minds Centre announces therapy camp
KOHIMA — Beautiful Minds Centre for Child Development has announced a two-week intensive therapy camp to be held from July 1 to the 14th at the centre in Lower Bayavü, New Secretariat Road, Kohima. According to an update, the centre’s team includes RCI-licensed speech-language pathologists, behaviour therapists, special educators, and play therapists. The camp will focus on children with speech delay, autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning issues, and behaviour challenges. The sessions will be divided into two batches, morning and afternoon, with four children accommodated in each batch.
Awareness campaign on livestock insurance held in Wokha
DIMAPUR — The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Bhandari sub-division, Wokha, organised an awareness campaign on livestock insurance schemes under the National Livestock Mission (NLM) 2025-2026 at Merapani village and Bhandari town summer house-cum-guest house on June 23. Deputy Director Dr. Gwazenlo Tep, VS, of Veterinary Hospital Wokha, highlighted the livestock insurance schemes under the National Livestock Mission. He stated that the schemes encourage farmers to insure their animals, adopt better livestock management practices, and reduce the economic burden caused by unexpected losses. According to a DIPR report, Tep also shared information on how to avail of the insurance policy, the required list of GPS photographs of the livestock, and other necessary documents. During the programme, free basic veterinary aids were distributed to the farmers.
Western Sumi Area Oil and Natural Resources Committee formed
DIMAPUR — The Western Sümi Hoho (WSH), along with its frontal organisations and area chairmen, on Wednesday resolved to promote unity, peace, understanding and peaceful coexistence among all communities and tribes. According to a press release, the WSH also issued an advisory on social media use, warning that misuse of platforms to criticise, spread hatred, provoke others or disturb social harmony would invite strict disciplinary action. The organisation reaffirmed its support for an early and peaceful resolution of the Indo-Naga political issue. It also constituted the Western Sumi Area Oil and Natural Resources Committee to address issues related to oil and natural resources in the Western Sumi area and resolved to form another committee to look into border-related matters. Both committees will function under the Western Sümi Hoho.
