According to a press release issued by Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Dimapur, SI Asangba Tikhir, the shutdown is necessitated to facilitate vital rectification works on the 132kV isolators at the 132kV Nagarjan Sub-station. The work will require the shutdown of the 132kV Dimapur PG–Dimapur (NL) Circuit-I and Circuit-II transmission lines during the specified period. As a result, electricity supply will remain completely suspended across Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Peren and Niuland districts from 5:30 am to 8:30 am. While expressing regret for the inconvenience caused, the department sought the cooperation and understanding of all consumers during the maintenance period.
