NSF schedules meeting on ULB elections

DIMAPUR — The Naga Students’ Federation called for an emergency presidential council meeting on June 11 at 2 pm, at the office of the Naga Students’ Federation in Kohima. According to an update, the meeting is in regard to the upcoming urban local body (ULB) election to be held in the state. All the presidents of the federating units and sub-ordinate bodies of the NSF have been requested to make themselves convenient and attend the said meeting.

KMC revises mutton prices

DIMAPUR — The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has announced revised rates for mutton within its jurisdiction, effective immediately. The new prices are INR 620 per kg for cut meat (dry), INR 200 per kg for head, INR 250 per kg for intestine, and INR 350 per kg for legs. The council has warned that any meat found to be adulterated with water will be seized, and the seller’s licence will be cancelled. The rates are subject to revision by the authorities as necessary.

Pungro SDPDB meeting on June 12

DIMAPUR — The monthly Pungro Sub-Divisional Planning and Developmental Board (SDPDB) meeting will be held on June 12 at 11 am. In a circular, ADC Pungro Vekusheyi Rhakho informed that Advisor for Fire and Emergency Services, Home Guards and Civil Defence and Relief and Rehabilitation, and chairman of SDPDB Pungro, S Kiusumew Yimchunger, will be attending the meeting. All board members have been requested to attend the meeting positively.

Traffic restriction on Tuensang-Longleng road

DIMAPUR — The deputy commissioner of Tuensang, in an order, restricted the movement of heavy vehicles on the Tuensang-Longleng road due to the dilapidated condition of the existing Shopilak Bridge at Chainage 1+100 (Tuensang- Longleng). The order was issued to prevent untoward accidents that may lead to injury and loss of human life, a DIPR report stated. All heavy vehicles have been advised to take the Assam-Mokokchung-Chare-Tuensang route till further notice.

ALIMCO distribution in Longleng

DIMAPUR — The Longleng district administration has informed all the beneficiaries under Longleng Sardar (Circle) that lite support assistance kits (ALIMCO) will be distributed on June 13 from 10 am onwards at the DC Office in Longleng. Individuals who were medically screened from September 26 to the 30th, 2022 and selected as beneficiaries have been informed to come and collect assistance kits along with ID proof (Aadhar card).
