RARC, Bharat Vikas Parishad holds Ayurveda awareness camp

DIMAPUR — In celebration of the ninth Ayurveda Day, the Regional Ayurveda Research Centre (RARC), Dimapur, in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad, Dimapur, conducted an awareness camp focused on the role of Ayurveda in nutrition and women’s health on October 26.

The event was held at the Neighbourhood Children’s Home in Midland, Dimapur, to promote health awareness among adolescents and women, according to an update.

On the occasion, Pekinreyuile, LA, organised an HB (haemoglobin) test drive targeting adolescent girls to address nutritional deficiencies commonly observed in this age group. Dr. Neha Mech, JRF (PPvC), delivered a talk on women’s health, highlighting the importance of Ayurveda in managing women’s health issues holistically.

Speeches were also delivered by Rev. Daniel Shayan, Regional Secretary of Bharat Vikas Parishad Falguni Sharma, and RO (Ay) at RARC Dimapur, Dr. Deepak Rahangdale.

The event also included a plantation drive led by Nikhil Krishna, RA (Botany).

DC Longleng notifies on DTF meeting

DIMAPUR — The Deputy Commissioner of Longleng has convened a meeting of the members of the District Task Force (DTF) on Immunisation and all concerned on October 30 at 12 noon at the DC’s conference hall. According to a DIPR report, all concerned members have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.

NPF Kohima conducts exposure trip

DIMAPUR — The NPF Kohima Division team conducted an exposure trip to Delhi-Agra-Jaipur cities from Oct. 18 to the 25th. According to an update, the exposure trip was successfully conducted due to the contributions of NPF MLAs from Nagaland and Manipur, “minister, MLAs of the PDA govt.”, and well-wishers. The touring committee expressed gratitude to everyone concerned for their kind gesture.

CBCC Mission Conference 2024 from November 8

DIMAPUR — The Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) will hold a three-day Mission Conference 2024 under the theme “God’s Mission, Our Task” from November 8 to 10 at Phek Town Baptist Church. An update mentioned that the preachers for the conference will include Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council; Dr. Rema Chhakchhuak, Asian Mission Mobiliser at Baptist Mission Australia; Rev. Sehu Belho, Strategic Co-ordinator on Course Mission in Nagaland; and Rev. Dr. Chekrovei Cho-o, Executive Secretary of CBCC. Local churches under CBCC have been requested to send their senior/lead pastors, pastors, associate pastors, and chairpersons of the general, youth, women, children’s ministry, Mission Board, and Deacon Board. The opening ceremony will take place at 4 pm on November 8.

CANSSEA Dimapur holds meeting with HoDs

DIMAPUR — The Dimapur unit of the Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association (CANSSEA) conducted a meeting with all the HoDs under Dimapur district on Monday. During the meeting, vice president of the CANSSEA Dimapur unit, Bokato, apprised the members on the issues taken up by the CANSSEA central team, an update stated. All the unit members resolved to support the central team. It was also decided that, by virtue of designation, all HoDs under Dimapur district will become executive members of the CANSSEA Dimapur unit. The members were also informed about the collection of the membership fee to be submitted to the CANSSEA Dimapur unit at the earliest.

Rengma Region FGN denounces impeachment of Kedahge

DIMAPUR — The Midan Peyu of the Rengma Region, FGN, convened a joint meeting on Monday with all authorities, including civil and Naga Army officials at the regional level, to discuss the current issues within the NNC/FGN government. According to an update, after deliberation, the region unanimously resolved to support and stand with the leadership of Kedahge Brig. (Retd) S Singnya. The meeting also denounced the impeachment of the Kedahge by Zhopra Vero, Kedallo/Vice President, which was reported in local newspapers on October 21 as unconstitutional.
