Major General Manish Kumar meets Governor

DIMAPUR — Major General Manish Kumar, Inspector General, Assam Rifles (North), met with Governor of Nagaland La. Ganeshan at Raj Bhavan, Kohima, on Monday. During the interaction, Kumar briefed the governor on the overall security situation in Nagaland and adjoining areas of south Arunachal Pradesh. According to an update, the governor was also briefed on the role of the Assam Rifles in ensuring peace during the recently conducted elections in Nagaland.

Abu Metha meets Australian Consul-General in Kolkata

DIMAPUR — Advisor to the chief minister and chairman of the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland, Abu Metha, called on Australian Consul-General, Hugh Boylan, in Kolkata on Monday. He was accompanied by Chairman of TaFMA, Theja Meru. According to an update, the meeting was a follow-up to Boylan’s recent visit to Nagaland, during which he met with the chief minister, the governor, and the chief secretary. They discussed issues related to strengthening bilateral ties and future collaborations, including possibilities for investment opportunities and cultural exchanges.

KMC Administrator informs on beef rate

DIMAPUR — Administrator of Kohima Municipal Council (KMC), T. Lanusenla Longkumer, has notified that the rate for beef (halal meat) within KMC jurisdiction has been fixed at INR 300 per kg effective April 1. There will be no separate rate for halal meat. The order will remain in force until further notice.

NSCN/GPRN recovers motorcycle

DIMAPUR — The UT-1 office of the NSCN/GPRN has recovered a black BS-4 Yamaha R-15 ABS motorcycle bearing registration number NL 07 EA 4962, chassis number ME1RG5255K0055555, and engine number G3K5E01XXXXX. According to an update, the office of the Caretaker UT-1 has informed the rightful owner to contact 9863823864 or 7627921520 and claim the motorcycle within seven days by providing valid documents.

DC Kohima informs vehicle drivers, owners

DIMAPUR — DC and DEO of Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, has issued a circular informing all commercial vehicle drivers and owners requisitioned for the general election to the Lok Sabha that the hiring and halting charges for the vehicles deployed on election duty will be disbursed from the Transport Cell office on the ground floor of the DC and DEO’s office in Kohima. The disbursement will take place for taxis and LMVs on April 25 from 10 am to 4 pm, while for sumos, pick-ups, and buses, it will be on April 26 from 10 am to 4 pm. Payment will only be processed upon presentation of the original requisition order and duty slip.
