Bursting crackers banned in Dimapur

Dimapur, Oct. 22 (EMN): Dimapur police has banned bursting of crackers in the district with immediate effect. In an order issued on Tuesday, the PRO of Dimapur police informed that the directive has been issued “in view of the prevailing situation”.

PDA meeting on October 28

Dimapur, Oct. 22 (EMN): A meeting of all the elected members of People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) and PDA coordination committee members will be held on October 28 at the State Banquet Hall in Kohima. A notice on Tuesday informed that meeting will begin at 2 pm.

‘Crucial’ ENPO meet on October 29

Dimapur, Oct. 22 (EMN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has convened a ‘crucial public meeting’ on October 29 at Tuensang town.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, it invited all the 20 elected members; 10 delegates each from six constituent tribe bodies, including senior intellectuals; 10 representatives each from all frontal organisations including federating unit presidents; and three delegates each from subunits to attend the meeting.

 

Power outages in Mon, Longleng and two sectors of Mkg. on October 24

Dimapur, Oct. 22 (EMN): Power consumers under Mokokchung transmission division will experience shutdown for two separate durations on October 24.

A press release from the department on Tuesday informed that in order to facilitate maintenance works at 66KV Mokokchung-Tuli transmission line, power supply to Mon district, Longleng district and Changtongya, Tuli area in Mokokchung district will be disrupted from 6 am to 10 am, and 2 pm to 5 pm on the day.
