Nagaland: Namri inaugurates community hall in Bongkolong

Dimapur, Jan. 22 (EMN): Advisor of Water Resources, Namri Nchang, inaugurated a community hall at Bongkolong village under Ahthibung sub-division in Peren district on January 22. The community hall was constructed under MGNREGA 2019-2020.

Speaking at the inaugural programme, Nchang called upon the people to unite for a better cause. He also encouraged the educated youth and public to be more vigilant and educate the uneducated. He further asked the public to refrain from false propaganda but instead seek for peace and unity.

A DIPR report stated a memorandum was also submitted to the advisor by the BYSU and Bongkolong village council.

The dedicatory prayer for the newly constructed community hall was said by an elder of Christian Church Bongkolong, LK Kholhou. The inaugural function was presided by Matthew Hangsing and Kimhoivah Hangsing, while the welcome address was delivered by BDO of Ahthibung, Noklenzenba Jamir, and the vote of thanks was delivered by chairman of Bongkolong village council, Lalkholen Hangsing.

Others who spoke in the programme included advisor of NDPP Bongkolong unit Songsei Hangsing, ADC of Jalukie Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, and the DRDA project director of Peren Azenuo Pienyü. A song was presented by Veineichin Hangsing and cultural dance by youth and students of Bongkolong village.
