Nagaland: Memes lands students in trouble

Dimapur, Oct. 8 (EMN): Dimapur police has summoned a few students to the police Station on Friday in connection with fake news of a boy being raped at the Dimapur Railway Station that went viral on social media on Thursday.

The DCP (Zone 2) informed Eastern Mirror that a few school students created it as a “meme” and forwarded it, which went viral in no time. He further informed that even the picture of the boy in the forwarded message was one of the students who shared the fake news.
