Dimapur, Sep. 13 (EMN): Different tribal unions in Medziphema have expressed solidarity to shifting of the Deputy Commissioner’s office to its new complex at Chümoukedima.

This was decided during a meeting called by the Medziphema Town Mechü Krotho (MTMK) with all different tribal unions of Medziphema town held on September 11 at CYO Hall, Medziphema. This was stated in a joint press statement issued by MTMK president, Akhoto Kuotsu, and general secretary, Niu Khrielie Iralu on Friday.

The house dwelt on the pros and cons of shifting to the new site after considering other factors such as traffic congestion, infrastructures, office complex and residences for staff, etc.

The house further questioned the motive of the government for its reluctance to the proposal of shifting the same which had been widely publicised for quite a long time now.

The meeting was chaired by MTML president, Akhoto Kuotsu. Two representatives each from all the tribal unions participated in the meeting.
