Dimapur, Aug. 25 (EMN): The much-awaited Nagaland Medical College in Kohima (NMCK) will be in line with the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) or North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), said Minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
The minister said this in a tweet on Wednesday after meeting Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to discuss the upcoming medical college in Kohima and National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) laboratory in Dimapur.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=6]‘It was discussed to build the upcoming NMCK as a central Institution/University in line with the AIIMS or NEIGRIHMS. The Hon'ble Union Health Minister provided the assurance to extend all his support in eradicating the challenges for the projects,’ he tweeted.
‘I am very happy to receive encouragement and motivation from our Union Minister,’ he wrote, while thanking him for helping the state to enhance the healthcare sector.
He also thanked IQVIA Nagaland project team for constantly providing technical assistance and support for implementation of the medical college project.
