Dimapur, Oct. 2 (EMN): The Lotha Public Organisation (LPO) has denounced the press statement of Lotha frontal organisations authorising the ‘so called’ Lotha Hoho to represent the community in all consultations, decision making and signing of any document related to Naga political settlement.

LPO alleged that the present ‘so called’ Lotha Hoho led by Er. Mhondamo Ovung and Amos Odyuo does not have consensus from the Lotha tribe.

LPO chairman Sulanthung Humtsoe and the vice president Phyobemo Odyuo stated that the ‘so called’ Lotha Hoho will represent their own personal and individual interest and not in the interest of the Lotha people as a whole.

LPO stated that the present Lotha Hoho has no moral authority to decide or resolve any kind of issue related to Naga political movement since the Lotha people have their own Naga national workers to represent the Lotha community.

LPO also alleged that the meeting of all Lotha organisations held at Wokha on September 23 on Naga political issue was a “mockery and jokes of all time” as it did not reach the consensus and the confidence building of all the sensible and right thinking citizens of Lothas.

Meanwhile, LPO has affirmed the resolution adopted during a general meeting held on April 19 and 20, 2002, of the then Lotha Hoho under the leadership of Nyanbemo Ngullie wherein it resolved to welcome an early settlement of the Indo-Naga political issue provided it is honourable and acceptable to the Nagas. As resolved, the then chairman of Lotha Hoho declared the resolution in Bangkok in the 3rd Naga people’s consultative meeting, LPO stated.

It added that same resolution was also submitted for a record at Hebron on January 21, 2005, by the then Lotha Hoho leaders on behalf of the Lotha people.

LPO therefore stated that the Lothas uphold the same resolution till today and should be treated as its ultimate resolution.
