Dimapur, Feb. 28 (EMN): Nagaland lost to Kerala by 10 wickets at the ongoing Sayed Mushtaq Ali T20 trophy on February 28 played at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. It was the fifth match in a row that Nagaland lost to opponent teams at the ongoing Sayed Mushtaq Ali T20 trophy.
Nagaland captain Jonathan lost the toss and his team was put to bat by the Kerala captain. Team Nagaland scored 103 for 8 in 20 overs. For team Nagaland, Rohit scored 49 runs, while Abrar scored 14 runs, Sedezhalie 10 runs and Paras made 16 runs.
Nidheesh took three wickets, while Vinoop and Thampi took two wickets each for Nagaland.
Kerala overran Nagaland with 105 runs for no loss in 12.2 overs. Vishnu made 53 runs and Rohan 51 runs for Kerala.
Nagaland is set to meet Delhi on March 2.
Meanwhile, Nagaland men’s U-23 will meet Mizoram at Bhubeneshwar on March 1. Nagaland will also face Assam at the senior women T20 in Raipur on March 1.
