Nagaland: Longleng district administration revises rates of commodities

Dimapur, Oct. 27 (EMN): A co-ordination meeting held regarding revision of rates for essential and non-essential commodities at Longleng. The coordination meeting was held at DC’s conference hall in Longleng town on October 23, and was chaired by D Robin ADC and administrator, LTC and attended by a host of administrative and police officers, PPC, PSC, LTWU, 11 ward presidents and Chamber of Commerce and Industries Longleng, a DIPR update informed.

The house deliberated and approved the following rates of under mentioned items with immediate effect.

Further, it stated that establishments dealing with all hardware items viz: MS rod, cement and sand should adhere to proper maintenance of standard weight. Henceforth no establishments should sell the above mentioned items without standard weighing.

The price of rice items will be in-force till  December 31,2020. All other prices/rates of items mentioned above are subjected to periodical/seasonal review as per the availability of commodities. Agencies dealing with LPGs should ensure that adequate supplies of products are available to all the beneficiaries timely. The head dobashi (Head DB) is empowered to depute or entrust dobashis (DBs) concerned to conduct surprise checking to curb any malpractice and for ensuring cleanliness in the market/slaughter houses timely.The ward authorities under LTWU are empowered to check any malpractice within respective ward jurisdiction. Individuals and business community not adhering to the order will be severely penalised which may even include the cancellation of trade license, it warned.

This order will come into force w.e.f October 27, 2020, it stated.
