Nagaland Lokayukta takes oath-of-office

Dimapur, Feb. 22 (EMN): Governor PB Acharya on Friday administered the oath-of-office to Justice Uma Nath Singh as the Lokayukta of Nagaland during a programme held at the Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan, Kohima. According to a Raj Bhavan press release, Singh is the first Lokayukta of the state and will hold the position for a term of five years or till he attains the age of 70. The oath taking ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio; leader of opposition, TR Zeliang; and a host of ministers, legislators and government officers, it stated.
