Nagaland: Lok Janshakti Party supports ENPO’s demand for separate state
Dimapur, Sep. 14 (EMN): The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) (Ram Vilas) Nagaland unit has extended support to the demand of Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation’s (ENPO) for a separate state, sating that they have been neglected ever since Nagaland attained statehood and various development activities are “yet to see the light of day” in the area.
‘It is extremely pathetic to mention that this area has been deliberately deprived, despite many a government, where several promises have gone in vain, and leaving only sound and fury,’ the party stated in a statement on Wednesday.
LJP said it supports the “20 MLAs”, tribal bodies and other organisations from eastern Nagaland for resolving not to take part in the state assembly election 2023 until their demand for a separate state is met.
The party further expressed hope that the aspirations of the eastern Nagas and their demand for a ‘Frontier Nagaland’ will be fulfilled at the earliest.
