Nagaland legislators led by CM take part in cleanliness drive to celebrate Modi’s birthday

Kohima, Sep. 17 (EMN):
Celebrating the 71st birthday of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a special “Swaach Bharat” was organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party Nagaland Unit in Kohima on Friday.

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy CM Y Patton, and legislators from Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), BJP, Independent and others participated in the cleanliness drive.

Rio said during the short programme held at Old MLA Hostle Junction in Kohima that Nagaland is ruled a coalition with the support of the prime minister. He added that the state looks forward for partnership with the BJP in future too under his leadership.

Patton also said that the state and the country are fortunate to have a visionary and capable leader to lead the nation and wished him good health.

An update from BJP Nagaland informed that about 200 workers from NDPP and BJP participated in the cleanliness drive.
