Dimapur, Dec. 6 (EMN): Leader of the NPF legislature party, Kuzholuzo Nienu, today questioned the government of India for the delay in signing the final agreement to the decade-old Naga political issue, while he also urged the BJP-led government at the centre to be faithful with its election slogan ‘election for solution’ adding that the BJP should live upto to its commitment.
Speaking at the inaugural function of the 52nd Phek Basa Sports Meet, Nienu demanded that the final inking to the Naga issue should be done before Christmas. He has, however, demanded the centre to bring out a common draft and place before public domain for consensus before signing of the final agreement, a press release issued by NPF Press Bureau stated.
The NPF leader asserted that the NPF was committed towards bringing a final solution to the Naga political issue which is honourable, acceptable and inclusive stating that the priority of the party was for solution and not election.
He also stated that NPF was not a party that chase after power or position but stood for the cause of the Naga people and the welfare of the Naga people. He maintained that NPF joined the UDA government not for any other reason but to have a collective effort of all the legislators for the early settlement of the Naga political issue.
Neinu also asserted that its MLAs are ready to pave way if any solution comes. However, he stated that the NPF would have no option but to contest the election said if the Election Commission of India announced for election in Nagaland. He expressed optimism that NPF would form the next government stating the party, which represented the Naga people is gaining its stand day-by-day.
Nienu further urged the BJP led government at the centre to be faithful with its election slogan ‘election for solution’ and live upto to its commitment.
