Nagaland: Kronu urges students to have goal in life
Dimapur, Dec. 30 (EMN): Underlining that academic life is the most valuable time for students, minister of Planning and Co-ordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu, called upon the students to pursue their studies by setting goal in life.
“There will be hardship but students should endure it and work hard”, he said adding that “Education and learning is a continuous process.”
Kronu stated this during the 64th general session of Khezhakeno Students’ Union (KSU) on December 30 held at Lepfhe ground in Khezhakeno village under Phek district on the theme ‘A vision for tomorrow.’
He stated that students must be self-reliant and not totally depend on government avenues. While highlighting on the advantages and disadvantages of technology, he urged the students to use mobile phones wisely.
Dr. Velhou Koza, assistant professor of Sociology at Don Bosco College, Kohima, spoke on the importance of promoting one’s language, while the presidential address was delivered by Pfutsudulo Meche and Ruokovilhou Letou, catechist, said a prayer of blessings.
Students of Government High School sang the union’s anthem ‘Khezhakeno! Khezhakeno!’ while the students of Mount Kahu Christian School, Khezhakeno, and Zuve Vero also presented a song.
The valedictory programme was attended by Neikodo Chikha, GT of Government High School, Khezhakeno.
Kuto Ladu and Keviengo-o Ngotha were crowned Mr and Miss of KSU respectively.
