Dimapur, Dec. 18 (EMN): The newly constructed building of Khulazu Basa Baptist Church was dedicated on Friday by the executive secretary of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council, Rev. Khrotso Mero, at K Basa Village under Phek district.
While expressing hope that people will experience the love of God in the church, Rev. Mero stressed on the importance of having fellowship with one another as Christians, according to an update received here.
A church, he said, must be a soul-saving place. It must be a place where the weak finds strength, weary finds rest, and a house of forgiveness and love; while challenging the people to make the church a loving place and continue to grow in Christ.
He further called upon the people to lead an honest and sincere life in their respective professions. ‘As Christian, one must obey God and live according to His will, so that others may see the goodness of Christ,’ he added.
Chairman of Chokri Area Baptist Church Council, Rev. Vovotso Theluo, in his greetings, called upon the people to build their foundation based on the word of God. He also asked the people to shine for Christ everything they do.
Chairman of the new church building, Pora Keyho, informed that the new building cost around INR 1.51 crore.
