DIMAPUR — Following a meeting with the chief secretary, the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC)—comprising CANSSEA, FONSESA, NIDA, NSSA, and NF&ASA—has announced that the tools down strike scheduled to begin on October 27 will be kept on hold.
A circular issued on Friday informed that the state Cabinet is also expected to take a decision on the selection of Non-SCS officers into the IAS.
However, the committee clarified that the ongoing pen-down strike will continue until their demands are met.

It also instructed the All Nagaland Government Drivers’ Association, Nagaland Civil Secretariat Drivers’ Association, All Nagaland Directorate & District Government Drivers’ Union, and Nagaland Civil Secretariat Grade-IV Staff Employees Association to suspend all preparations for the tools down strike until further notice.
Describing the move as a “gesture in good faith,” the JCC stated that it aims to maintain dialogue and cooperation with the state government on the IAS induction issue.
