Dimapur, Sep. 22 (EMN): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Government of Nagaland in collaboration with National Disaster Management (NDMA) conducted an online IRS training and table top exercise simulating earthquake scenario on September 22.
Highlights of the virtual training programme included an overview of state disaster management plan and preparedness for earthquake, presentation by National Centre for Seismology, presentation by Nagaland State Disaster Response Force, presentation by CMO, Nagaland on medical preparedness for earthquake and Covid-19 related information for the first responders, presentation by NDRF on its preparedness for Nagaland followed by table top exercise, an update read on Tuesday.
Advisor, (Ops & Comn), NDMA, Brig Ajay Gangwar delivered the welcome address while the opening address was given by member NDMA, Lt.Gen.Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd), it added.
