Nagaland: Inter-Department Badminton Tournament concludes

DIMAPUR — The 3rd Inter-Department Badminton Tournament 2023, Kohima edition, which was organised under the aegis of Inter-Department Badminton Club Kohima, concluded at the NLA Multi-Purpose Hall, Kohima, on Saturday.

Holo Chishi Swu, CEO Okusa Toyota Kohima, was the guest of honour for the valedictory function chaired by Nokchasashi, said an update received here on Saturday.

Nagaland Police emerged as the overall champion of the tournament, winning the men’s doubles, mixed doubles and women’s doubles, while Medical department were the runners-up in men’s doubles and women’s doubles. It was also informed that a special presentation was given to Visetuo Yashu to encourage young badminton players.

Men’s doubles results

Champions: WapangTzudir and Asa Chiesotsu (Nagaland Police)

Runners-up: Joshua Kippen and Nungshiakum (Medical department)

Women’s doubles results

Champions: Seyiekunuo Lohe & Uma Tamang- Nagaland Police

Runners-up: Christina and Thejanuo Rutsa (Medical department)

Mixed doubles results

Champions: Lantinmang Lhouvum and Uma Tamang (Nagaland Police)

Runners-up: Ruokuolhoumuo Rame and Digamlak (NLA)

Men 50+ category results

Champion: Temjen and N. Wati

Runners-up: Tali Jamir and Kreho Athili
