Nagaland: Inter-department badminton tournament begins

DIMAPUR — The 3rd Inter-Department Badminton Tournament commenced at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Multi-Purpose Hall in Kohima on Friday.

Speaking at the inaugural programme, special guest Vyasan R, Commissioner and Secretary to the government of Nagaland, urged the players to maintain discipline not only during the tournament but also in their everyday lives.

Vyasan R also thanked IDBC Kohima for organising the tournament and conveyed his wishes to the players

More than 100 players from 24 departments are participating in the two-day event. Among participants is Bendang Jamir, a 78-year-old international player.

President of IDBC Kohima, Shanavas C, delivered the welcome address at the event.
