Directorate of Industries and Commerce, in collaboration with the Department
for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Grant Thornton Bharat
LLP (Project Implementation Unit), organised a workshop-cum-capacity building
program on UNNATI 2024 on April 24.
- An update from the department stated the event brought
together officials, investors and stakeholders to discuss the scheme's benefits
and implementation.
- Key highlights of the event in the first session included a
special address by Y Lipongse Thongtsar, additional director of Industries and
Commerce, who emphasized on the importance of the UNNATI scheme in promoting
industrial growth in Nagaland, while insightful introduction to the UNNATI 2024
scheme was delivered by Hudaibia Nafis Khan, consultant of DPIIT, highlighting
its key features and objectives.

- It stated that a detailed overview of the registration and
claim processes was delivered by Shubham Gupta, consultant of Project
Management Unit (PMU), while a portal demo on the UNNATI 2024 scheme was
conducted by Pavitra Rana, senior business analyst at Unnati'24 Scheme Portal
Agency.
- In session II, Pepenthung Lotha, consultant of Project
Implementation Unit (PIU) at GT Bharat LLP, shared a success story of UNNATI
registration and highlighted the benefits and opportunities available under the
scheme, while Shubham Gupta, consultant of PMU, provided a detailed
overview of the registration and claim processes, reinforcing the key takeaways
from session I.

Portal Agency, who delivered a comprehensive portal demo, showcased the
functionality and ease of use of the UNNATI scheme portal.
- Suresh Kumar Rai, AGM of SIDBI, Dimapur, has discussed
financial aspects, including bank appraisal and detailed project reports
(DPRs), crucial for securing funding for projects under the UNNATI scheme.
- Ikheshe Kahoto, assistant director and master trainer of
UNNATI, moderated session II, focusing on the needs of existing and potential
investors
- It stated that the workshop provided a platform for
stakeholders to engage with officials and experts, gaining a clear
understanding of the registration process, portal demo and financial aspects of
the UNNATI scheme.
- The event also marked a significant step towards promoting
industrial growth and development in Nagaland.
