Nagaland In-Service Doctors’ Association calls off agitation

Dimapur, April 17 (EMN): Following assurance from the state chief secretary to resolve the superannuation issue within a period not exceeding one year, the Nagaland In-Service Doctors’ Association (Nida) has called off its proposed indefinite agitation.

The assurance to this effect was made during a meeting of Nida and Core Committee on Superannuation with the government chaired by the chief secretary on April 17.

This was stated in a joint statement issued by Nida convenor, Dr. Thorhusie Katiry, and the president, Dr. Dr. E Phyantsuthung.
