Nagaland: ICAR-NRCM, KVK Phek conducts training
Dimapur, April 14 (EMN): ICAR-NRC on Mithun (ICAR-NRCM), Medziphema and KVK Phek jointly conducted a one-day HRD training programme on ‘Measuring Agricultural Sustainability’ ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Medziphema on April 13.
An update informed that Dr. N Haque, principal scientist and director I/c, ICAR-NRCM, Medziphema gave the opening remarks and emphasised on sustainability with respect to Mithun. Dr. Prem Chand, senior scientist, ICAR- National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research, New Delhi delivered his presentation on — agricultural sustainability issues in India, agricultural sustainability of Indian states and assessment of livestock sustainability at meso and micro level — virtually.
Prof. Amod Sharma, head of department, department of Agricultural Economics, NU SASRD, Medziphema spoke on the importance of ‘Agricultural development and marketing status: An overview of Northeast region’.
Altogether, 15 farmers and concerned officials from NU SASRD, Medziphema, ICAR-NEHR for Nagaland Centre, Medziphema, ICAR-NRCM, KVKs of Nagaland, dept. of Agriculture, Dimapur and Central Institute of Horticulture participated in the training programme.
