Dimapur, April 4 (EMN): The Nagaland Home Guards Service Association (NHGSA) held its 13th general session at Central Training Institute (CTI), Toluvi, on March 31.

A DIPR report stated that the deputy commandant general of Home Guards, Civil Defence and SDRF and special invitee, Medozhalie Pienyu, highlighted the various challenges faced by the department during the pandemic and appreciated the members for their tremendous efforts. He expressed gratitude to all the ranks and files, past and present, for their service and sacrifice rendered.

Besides, he also spoke on the importance of self-discipline and stated that all members should endeavour to leave behind a legacy.

The presidential address was delivered by the NHGSA outgoing president, Mulai Lamniah.

During the business hour, various issues concerning the welfare of the association were deliberated.

A new team of office-bearers of NHGSA for the tenure 2022-2025 was also selected with Avinuo as president, Ngongvai Phom as vice president, and Sinlo Khing as general secretary.
