- DIMAPUR — The Home department has convened a
consultative meeting on April 30 at 10 am in the State Banquet Hall to
deliberate on major issues confronting the state.
- According to a DIPR report, the topics for discussion are
road development with special reference to the construction of Foothill Road
and Showba-Pangsa Road, Free Movement Regime (FMR) and Protected Area Permit
(PAP), maintenance of peace in the state in the wake of recent political
developments, and Inner Line Permit (ILP).
- The Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Ministers, NLA Speaker and
Deputy Speaker, all Ministers, Members of Parliament (Lok Sabha and Rajya
Sabha), all Advisors, MLAs and the Chief Secretary, along with other senior
officials of the state government, will attend the meeting.
- The department also requested presidents/convenor of various
tribal hohos and other organisations to attend the meeting along with three
representatives each.
- The invited hohos and organisations include the Central
Nagaland Tribes Council, Eastern Nagaland Peoples' Organisation, Tenyimi Union
Nagaland, Angami Public Organisation, Angamimiapfu Mechü Krotho, Ao Senden,
Watsii Mundang, Chakhesang Public Organisation, Chakhesang Women Organisation,
Chang Khulei Setsang, Changsao Thangjam Setshang, Konyak Union, Konyak Nyupuh
Sheko Khong, Khiamniungan Tribal Council,
Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam, Lotha Hoho, Lotha Eloe Hoho, Phom Peoples'
Council, Phomla Hoichem, Pochury Hoho, Pochury Mothers' Association, Rengma Hoho,
Rengma Mothers' Association, Sumi Hoho, Sumi Totimi Hoho, United Sangtam
LikhumPumji, Akehda Sangtamlarü Thsingmajang, Tikhir Tribal Council, Tikhir
Women Organisation, Yimkhiung Tribal Council, Yimkhiung Women Organisation,
