- KOHIMA — Nagaland's Health department has
issued a warning to its employees for indulging in unauthorised absence at
work—by invoking the 'no work, no pay' rule in the department.
- The order was issued on Monday after the employees were
found indulging in unauthorised absence, unauthorised rotational duty,
unauthorised leave and failing to perform duties, affecting the functioning of
the state’s healthcare system.
- “It has been observed that employees of various
establishments under the department are indulging in unauthorised absence from
duty, unauthorised rotational duty, unauthorised leave, failure to perform
duties (sic), etc., which is affecting delivery of services and the overall
functioning of the healthcare system,” stated the order issued by Dr. Mereninla
Senlem, Director of Health & Family Welfare.
- She directed the employees to report for duty and remain on
duty as scheduled, unless properly authorised or notified otherwise.
