DIMAPUR — The Department of Health & Family Welfare has directed all medical officers and other medical personnel under its jurisdiction to strictly adhere to the prescribed procedures for availing leave.
According to an order issued in pursuance of a decision taken during a departmental meeting held on May 14, no officer shall leave the station without obtaining prior leave sanction from the competent authority.
The order further stated that chief medical officers and medical superintendents proceeding on leave must, in addition to securing the requisite approval, inform the deputy commissioner of their respective districts before leaving their stations.

It also directed that proper leave records be maintained at the level of the leave-sanctioning authority.
The department warned that any violation of the instructions would be viewed seriously and dealt with in accordance with applicable government regulations.
The order has been issued for strict compliance by all concerned.
