Kohima, June 3 (EMN):
Amid thousands of stranded citizens of Nagaland returning to the state, the minister for Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu, on Tuesday updated about district-wise quarantine facility status at a press briefing.

Kronu, who is also Nagaland government’s spokesperson on Covid-19, informed that there are 238 quarantine facilities with 13,008 beds in the state; a total of 3,966 persons are currently undergoing quarantine and 9042 beds are still available.

The quarantine facility status excludes beds reserved for frontline workers.

The minister also updated about the ‘special financial packages’ being provided by state government, informing that as on June 2, a total 4556 persons had availed CM special package for students (INR 3000) while 679 applications were rejected. He added that successful application for CM special package for working persons (INR 4000) was 16,787 with 1879 applications rejected, while 233 people had availed CM package for patients (INR 20,000) and 16 applications rejected.

He informed that the scheme is presently under process and the reject list from bank is awaited.
