Dimapur, Jan. 5 (EMN): Nagaland has a total of 1267106 electors including 637830 male and 629276 female. This was informed in the final electoral roll with reference to January 1, 2022, as the qualifying date, which was subsequently prepared and published on January 5 by the respective electoral registration officer of all the districts in the state.
According to a DIPR report, there are 1259137 general electors comprising 629966 male and 629171 female, while there are 7969 service electors comprising 7864 male and 105 female.
Report stated that the final electoral rolls could be checked/ downloaded from the chief electoral officer’s website at www.ceo.nagaland.gov.in.
Meanwhile, the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) and electoral registration officer (ERO) of Peren, K Mhathung Tsanglao, informed that the list of amendments to the draft electoral roll for the 6-Tening and 7-Peren assembly constituencies has been prepared with reference to January 1, 2022, as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960. He stated that a copy of the said roll together with the said list of amendments has been published and would be available for inspection in his office and at the concerned booth level officers of respective rolling stations. The ADC of Mon, Y Chingyak Konyak, also informed that the list of amendments to the draft electoral roll for the 41-Tizit, 42-Wakching, 43-Tapi, 44-Phomching, 45-Tehok, 46-Mon Town, 47-Aboi, 48-Moka and 55-Tobu assembly constituencies has been prepared with reference to January 1, 2022, as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Registration of Election Rules, 1960. He further informed that a copy of the roll and list of amendments would be available for inspection in his office.
