Dimapur, July 15 (EMN): Expressing anguish at not being invited to the consultation on Register of Indigenous Inhabitant of Nagaland (RIIN), the Mech Kachari Public Organisation, Nagaland has requested the state government not to sideline the community. A press release from the organisation on Monday stated that the proposed consultation is related to the existence of Kacharis in Nagaland. “It is better known to the government of Nagaland that the Kacharis (Mech Kachari and Dimasa Kachari) had been living in the different parts of Dimapur district since time immemorial and are also Indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland,” it stated.
