Nagaland Governor extends Muharram greetings to Muslim community

Dimapur, Aug. 8 (EMN): Governor of Nagaland, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, on Monday, extended Muharram greetings to the Muslim community.

He said that Muharram is a sacred occasion for the Muslims, celebrating selfless sacrifices and victory. “Prayers and fasting are observed by the Muslims during this time. Processions are often a part of this auspicious occasion,” he shared.

He also urged everyone to follow COVID appropriate behaviours at all times, considering the surge in COVID cases in the state.

He further wished all good health, peace and prosperity.
