Dimapur, Sep. 2 (EMN): Nagaland Governor RN Ravi has conveyed greetings to the Sangtam community and the people of the state on the occasion of Mongmong festival.
“This beautiful festival is a celebration for good harvest after all the hard work in the field. Mongmong is also a time of togetherness, sharing of produce and forgiveness,” read the greeting, adding that sanitation and repairing of public infrastructure were carried out by the villagers during the occasion this time.
“Traditional rituals performed reflect the importance of the villagers to live in harmony with the environment. Love, care and unity are the wonderful essence of this festival,” it stated, while everyone good health, happiness and prosperity.
