Dimapur, Aug. 7 (EMN): Nagaland Governor RN Ravi on Thursday extended greetings to the Khiamniungan community and the people of the state on the occasion of Biam festival.
“Biam is a festival to say thanks to the Almighty for His blessings and pray to Him for a good harvest. The rituals performed at the granary during the festival reflect the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of our people. I urge upon our youth to divine deep into this richness and carry it forward,” Ravi’s message read.
“Together with you, I pray, the Almighty to bless us abundantly as we celebrate the festival at home during this extraordinary Covid-19 situation,” he added.
