Dimapur, April 20 (EMN): Nagaland Governor RN Ravi had an interaction-cum-consultative meeting on Covid-19 pandemic with the leaders of various sects and faith-based organisations of the state state at Dr. Imkongliba Hall, Raj Bhavan in Kohima on Tuesday.
An update from Raj Bhavan informed that leaders of Hindu, Muslim, Jain, Sikh, Buddhist and Indigenous faiths participated in the meeting.
‘Ravi discussed the Covid situation in the state and told the participants that such an extraordinary situation calls for concerted efforts of every individual, every section of the society, every faith and every community,’ read the press release.
He urged the religious leaders to rise up to the occasion and proactively make people more conscious about the need to strictly adhere to Covid-appropriate protocols and encourage those eligible to avail vaccination. He also thanked them for their valuable suggestions and assured to place them before the state government.
It may be mentioned that the governor convened a meeting on the same matter with church leaders of various Christian denominations in Nagaland on Monday.
