Nagaland Governor, Chief Minister extend Eid greetings
Dimapur, May 13 (EMN): Nagaland Governor RN Ravi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Thursday extended Eid greetings to the Muslim community and the people of the state.
“Eid festival is also known as the festival of breaking the fast. This festival is a religious festival celebrated worldwide by the Muslim community. It signifies the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramazan. During this festival, events such as prayers, charity, social gatherings, festive meals, gift giving etc. mark the celebrations,” read Ravi’s greetings.
“I urge everyone to take precautionary measures by observing Covid-19 protocols throughout the celebrations. On this occasion, I wish you all with good health, stay safe and happy celebrations,” it added.
Rio also took to Twitter to greet the Muslim community.
“Idul Fitri greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters. I wish you all a happy and a safe Eid,” he wrote.
