Nagaland Governor, Chief Minister extend Eid-E-Milad greetings

Dimapur, Oct. 18 (EMN): Nagaland Governor prof. Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extended greetings to the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Eid-E-Milad.

The governor stated that Eid-E-Milad is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

“This sacred occasion is observed with acts of kindness rendered towards one another, especially towards the needy and poor,” read the greetings from the Raj Bhavan. “May this auspicious occasion continue to usher us towards virtue, peace and unity,” it added.

The chief minister of the state also extended greetings on the auspicious occasion.

“On the occasion of Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, I extend good wishes to all those who are celebrating. May the joyous occasion bring abundance of happiness and blessings to you and your loved ones,” wrote Rio.
