DIMAPUR — Nagaland Governor La. Ganesan and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended Ahuna greetings to the Sumi community.
“Ahuna is a traditional post-harvest festival of the Sumi Nagas and it signifies the celebration of the season’s harvest in thanksgiving while invoking the spirit for good harvest fortune in the new year.
“It is a festival of Joy for the completion of a successful harvest season and sharing of feast. I believe that this festival’s spirit of oneness and bonding would restore our faith and lead us towards peace and prosperity,” read the greetings of the governor.

“Wishing the Sumi community a happy Ahuna. As we celebrate this post-harvest festival, we give thanks to the Almighty for a bountiful harvest. May we be blessed with good fortune in the new year,” he wrote.
