Nagaland governor addresses Srinivasa University

Dimapur, July 6 (EMN): The governor of Nagaland PB Acharya has said universities should become part of the national growth. Acharya spoke about the challenges in higher education and the National Education Policy during a programme on July 3 at the Srinivasa University at Mukka, updates stated. Acharya said universities should make students enterprising leaders besides empowering them with knowledge and skill. A press release to the media on Saturday stated that the governor told the gathering that education should have a definite goal. He remarked that education that enhances the reputation of the country should also be capable of uplifting the life of the rural people, the updates stated. ‘North-eastern states are now becoming empowered as hundreds of students from there are getting education in institutes in Dakshina Kannada,’ he said. The university’s chancellor A Raghavendra Rao, among others, were present at the programme, the updates added.
