Nagaland government makes partial modification to Peren-Chümoukedima boundary demarcation

Dimapur, June 27 (EMN): The Home department, Government of Nagaland, has made a partial modification to its earlier notification on inter-district boundary between Peren and Chumoukedima districts.

The department notified that the administrative jurisdiction of Chumoukedima district will remain as per its notification issued on December 20, 2021, which includes the administrative area of Dhansiripar sub-division.

So, its notification issued earlier this month, on June 3, stands amended, it stated, adding that the decision was taken by the Cabinet.

“The notified inter-district boundary and jurisdiction is solely for administrative convenience and does not in any way reflect the traditional boundary, which will be taken up separately,” it said.
