DIMAPUR — The Indian Institute of Management (Dr. Kalam Centre), Shillong, and Government of Nagaland represented by department of Higher Education signed a Memorandum of Understanding at Nagaland Guest House, RK Puram, New Delhi, on Saturday.
The MoU with IIM Shillong as first party and Government of Nagaland as second party, agreed to collaborate on the following points:
* To provide capacity building programmes of faculty members and officials under the department of Higher & Technical Education, Government of Nagaland.
* To recognise IIM Shillong (Dr. Kalam Centre) as knowledge partner for research, policy development, analysis, impact study and identifying/recommending necessary interventions.
* To recognise IIM Shillong as an “In-house” consultant for project development and policy formulation.
* To engage IIM Shillong (in institutional development plans for state run higher education institutions.
* To engage IIM Shillong in imparting value-added skills to foster competency and entrepreneurship amongst youth of Nagaland.
* To consult and engage IIM Shillong in implementation of New Education Policy 2020 in letter and spirit.
* To consult and engage IIM Shillong as an expert in establishing a state-of-the art engineering college of Nagaland through best practices and robust systems.
Nagaland government team was led by Minister for Tourism & Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along, while IIM Shillong was led by its Director, Prof. DP Goyal.
