DIMAPUR — Nagaland government has directed all unauthenticated state employees to submit identity documents for verification under the Personal Information Management System (PIMS) by June 3.
In a notification issued on Friday, the Personnel and Administrative Reforms (P&AR) department said the exercise is aimed at strengthening employee authentication and improving governance.

The department stated that despite earlier instructions issued since 2018 to link Aadhaar with PIMS, a significant number of employees are yet to complete the process, resulting in failed identity authentication.
Aadhaar has been prescribed as the first option for verification. However, employees who do not have Aadhaar or refuse to provide it may submit any two of the following documents: PAN card, driving licence, Indian passport, salary account bank passbook, or HSLC/Class X admit card carrying photograph, father’s name and date of birth.
All unauthenticated employees have been directed to submit the required documents through their respective departments within the stipulated deadline.
