Nagaland government asks DTF to take stringent measures to control Covid-19

Dimapur, April 19 (EMN): The Nagaland Home department has advised the district task forces (DTFs) to urgently convent meeting and impose more stringent measures to control the spread of the Covid-19, which is increasing at an alarming rate in the country.

In a notice issued by the principal secretary of Home, Abhijit Sinha, the DTFs have been asked to take measures like: Restricting assembly of four or more persons from 7 pm to 5 am in urban areas; opening of markets on alternate days; and odd-even system of vehicular movement in urban areas, after considering relevant local factors.

DTFs have also being asked take immediate action on identifying those coming to the state; to instruct them to report to the DTF; and to ensure self-isolation for 10 days for those without Covid negative test report (not earlier than 72 hours prior to entry into the state), awaiting test result or not taken vaccine. It also has been advised to ensure that everyone follows Covid-appropriate behaviour and start random screening tests in all high risk settings.

The DTFs have been asked to submit regular action taken report to the Home department.
