Nagaland girls qualify for junior national basketball Championship

Dimapur, Oct. 18 (EMN): Nagaland junior girls’ basketball team managed to take the third position in the recently concluded 72nd Junior National Basketball Championship (NE Zone).

Meghalaya and Assam junior girls emerged champions and first runner-up respectively, the Nagaland Basketball Association informed in an update.

In the junior boys section Mizoram, Manipur and Meghalaya qualified for the final phase of the championship.

The 72nd Junior National Basketball Championship (NE Zone) was hosted by the Meghalaya Basketball Association under the aegis of Basketball Federation of India. The championship was held from October 14 to the 17th.

The junior girls’ team will represent Nagaland at the 72nd Junior National Basketball Championship to be held in Bengaluru from December 21 to the 28th, NBA stated.
