Dimapur, June 28 (EMN): Nagaland GBs’ Federation (NGBF) has resolved to submit a memorandum to the Government of India (GoI) reiterating its demand for a final solution of the Naga political issue.

The resolution to this effect was taken during its annual office bearers meeting held on June 25 at Hotel Saramati. The meeting was chaired by its president Sahleem Konyak.

The members expressed discontentment over the low quality of Red blanket distributed to GBs and decided to urge the State government for better quality and also to enhance the existing rate of Red blankets that are deposited to the GBs Corpus Fund.

The members also discussed for its office site in Dimapur and decided to approach the concerned authority for allotment.

On the issue pertaining to DDGBA, the members termed the situation as unfortunate. The members appealed the GBs not to have tribal inclination but focus on common interest. The house, after thorough discussion, decided to request the GBs to leave aside the differences and join hand to strengthen DDGBA under the leadership of Khehovi Chophi who was selected officially on January 22, 2019, by the majority GBs under eight administrative units of Dimapur district.

The members also observed a minute silence in memory of Sepithong, president of Kiphire District GBs’ Association.
