Nagaland: Four cops receive President’s police medals

Dimapur, Aug. 15 (EMN): Four police personnel from Nagaland have been conferred with the President’s Police Medal (PPM) for distinguished service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of the 76th Independence Day 2022.

Imcharenla, DIG (NAP) Kohima has been awarded the PPM for distinguished service while Renchamo Kikon, Additional DG and Kilangyanger Walling, DCP, Niuland have been awarded the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

Meanwhile, Havildar Joy Kumar Singh of Nagaland Fire and Emergency Services was awarded the President’s Fire Service Medal for Meritorious Service.

Out of the 1082 persons announced on the occasion of Independence Day 2022, 347 personnel have been conferred with the President’s Police Medals for Gallantry (PPMG), 87 with PPM for Distinguished Service, 648 personnel with Police Medal for Meritorious Service and a total of 55 personnel have been awarded Fire Service Medals.
