The Nagaland ISKA team won multiple medals at the ISKA Open International Kickboxing Championship in Kolkata, with Kulungshi Newmai selected for the World Championship.

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland International Sport Kickboxing Association (ISKA) team secured one gold medal, seven silver medals, nine bronze medals, and one title belt at the ISKA Open International Kickboxing Championship held at Ballygunge Arena, Kolkata, from January 23 to the 25th.
According to a press release, the team of 11 fighters was led by state coach Israel G Xuivi. The championship featured international officials and participants from the USA, Australia, Korea, and Ethiopia.
The medal winners from Nagaland included Shihrazhio Aruo, who won gold in Point Sparring (40-45 kg) and bronze in Traditional Form. Kulungshi Newmai emerged as the champion for the K1 Kickboxing Semi-Pro Title Belt (52 kg) and was selected to represent India in the upcoming World Championship to be held in Spain.

Other winners were Atomika K Kinimi (bronze in Point Sparring 30-35 kg and Traditional Form); Arkali K Kinimi (bronze in Point Sparring 30-35 kg and silver in Traditional Form); Ajukuvu K Kinimi (silver in Point Sparring 15-20 kg); Puloto Chophy (bronze in Traditional Form); and Paul Zeliang (silver in Traditional Form).
Kivishe P Swu won silver in Point Sparring (50-55 kg) and bronze in Traditional Form; Limachan Kendrick won silver in Point Sparring (45-49 kg) and bronze in Traditional Form; Tokupu Xuivi Zhimomi won silver in K1 Light Kickboxing (65-70 kg), silver in Point Sparring (65-70 kg), and bronze in Traditional Form; and Ahuto Chophy won bronze in K1 Semi-Pro Kickboxing (65-70 kg).
Notably, Israel G Xuivi was inducted as vice president (honorary) of ISKA India.
